Student Support Officer

Location: Corby, Northamptonshire
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Contract: Full-Time, Term Time Only (plus training days)

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Student Support Officer to join a welcoming and supportive educational setting in the Corby area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide pastoral and behavioural support to students across the school.

• Build positive relationships with students, families, and staff.

• Support attendance, engagement, and student wellbeing initiatives.

• Work closely with teachers and safeguarding teams to identify and address student needs.

• Deliver interventions and mentoring programmes to support personal development.

• Maintain accurate records and contribute to student support plans.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Experience working with children or young people in an educational, youth work, care, or support setting.

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

• A calm, patient, and resilient approach.

• An understanding of safeguarding and student wellbeing.

• The ability to motivate and support students from a range of backgrounds.
