The Role

As a PE Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inclusive Physical Education lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality PE lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities.

  • Teaching a broad and balanced PE curriculum, promoting participation and achievement.

  • Encouraging students to develop confidence, teamwork, resilience, and leadership skills through sport and physical activity.

  • Monitoring and assessing student progress, providing effective feedback to support development.

  • Supporting extracurricular sports clubs, fixtures, and wider enrichment activities.

  • Creating a positive and safe learning environment where students can thrive.

  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to the continued success of the PE department.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Have experience teaching PE within a secondary school setting.

  • Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and a passion for physical education.

  • Be committed to delivering engaging lessons that inspire students to achieve their best.

  • Possess strong classroom management and organisational skills.

  • Be willing to contribute to the school's extracurricular sports programme.

  • Have high expectations for student achievement, behaviour, and participation.
