The successful candidate will be passionate about geography and committed to delivering engaging lessons that encourage students to explore the world's physical and human environments while developing critical thinking and analytical skills.

The Role

  • Deliver high-quality Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 for suitable candidates.

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that inspire curiosity and a passion for the subject.

  • Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing effective feedback to support achievement.

  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils.

  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, engagement, and academic attainment.

  • Contribute to the wider Humanities department and school community.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • A degree in Geography or a related subject.

  • Experience teaching Geography within a secondary school setting.

  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.

  • A commitment to raising standards and improving outcomes for all learners.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A passion for education and helping students reach their full potential.
