The Role
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities.
Assist students with their academic, social, emotional, and personal development.
Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to implement personalised learning and support plans.
Adapt resources and learning activities to meet individual student needs.
Encourage positive behaviour and support students in developing confidence and independence.
Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teaching staff where required.
Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate
The successful applicant will:
Have experience working with children or young people with SEND, either in a school, care, support, or community setting.
Demonstrate patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs.
Be able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Be adaptable and able to respond effectively to the varying needs of students.
Hold relevant qualifications or training in education, childcare, health and social care, or SEND support (desirable but not essential).
Experience supporting pupils with needs such as Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), or moderate learning difficulties would be advantageous.
