A well-established 3-form entry primary school in Hayes is seeking a Year 4 Teacher to join their team from September 2026 on a part-time basis for the full academic year.

This role is ideal for a teacher seeking reduced hours while remaining in the classroom. Working Monday to Friday from 1:00pm until 3:30pm, you will teach the Year 4 class each afternoon, delivering engaging lessons and supporting pupils' progress across the curriculum.

The school is looking for a teacher who can quickly build positive relationships with pupils and work collaboratively with the morning class teacher to ensure consistency in teaching and learning.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Teach a Year 4 class each afternoon from 1:00pm-3:30pm
  • Deliver engaging lessons across the curriculum
  • Work closely with the morning teacher to ensure continuity for pupils
  • Assess learning and provide feedback where appropriate
  • Support pupils of all abilities, including those requiring additional support
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement

Requirements

The school is looking for a teacher who:

  • Holds UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has experience teaching in Key Stage 2
  • Has strong classroom management skills
  • Can work collaboratively with colleagues
  • Is organised, reliable, and committed to pupil progress
  • Can provide engaging and inclusive learning experiences

Salary

Outer London Pay Scale (M1-UPS3)
Salary will be paid pro rata based on the working hours of 1:00pm-3:30pm, Monday to Friday.
