About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with classroom teachers to support students both individually and in small groups. You will play an important role in helping pupils engage with learning, build confidence, and achieve positive outcomes across the curriculum.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide classroom support to teachers during lessons.
  • Deliver targeted interventions to individuals and small groups.
  • Support students with varying learning needs and abilities.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and student engagement.
  • Assist with preparing learning resources and classroom activities.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
  • A genuine passion for education and supporting student development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive, patient, and adaptable approach.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
  • The right to work in the UK.
