The Opportunity

As a Science Technician, you will be responsible for providing practical and technical support to the science team. You will help ensure lessons are well prepared, laboratories are maintained to a high standard, and students have access to safe and engaging practical experiences.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare practical materials and equipment for science lessons.

• Support teachers during experiments and practical activities.

• Maintain laboratory areas, equipment, and resources.

• Assist with stock management and ordering supplies.

• Follow safety procedures and maintain accurate records.

• Ensure laboratories are organised and ready for daily use.

• Work alongside the science department to support effective teaching.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a science, laboratory, or technical role is desirable.

• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

• Good understanding of health and safety practices.

• Reliable, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach.

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

• Right to work in the UK.
