Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Unqualified Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in the Wellingborough area. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, experienced Cover Supervisors, Teaching Assistants, instructors, or individuals with strong subject knowledge who are looking to gain valuable teaching experience before pursuing Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering lessons, supporting student progress, and maintaining a positive learning environment while working closely with the school's leadership team and teaching staff.

The Role

As an Unqualified Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across your subject specialism or assigned curriculum areas

  • Support students' academic progress and personal development

  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively and create a positive learning environment

  • Assess student work and provide constructive feedback

  • Adapt learning activities to meet the needs of all learners

  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and school leaders

  • Contribute to the wider life of the school community

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • A degree or relevant qualification

  • Experience working with young people in an educational, coaching, mentoring, or training capacity

  • Strong communication and classroom management skills

  • The confidence to lead lessons independently

  • A passion for education and helping students succeed

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
