This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire students and develop their understanding of computing, programming, and digital technologies across Key Stages 3 and 4.

The Role

As a Computer Science Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Computer Science lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.

  • Teach topics including programming, algorithms, computational thinking, cybersecurity, and computer systems.

  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports student achievement.

  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school policies.

  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all learners.

  • Encourage curiosity, creativity, and a passion for technology.

  • Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives.

  • Support the wider life of the school through pastoral responsibilities and extracurricular activities where appropriate.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Experience teaching Computer Science within a secondary school setting.

  • Strong subject knowledge, including programming and computing fundamentals.

  • Excellent classroom management skills.

  • The ability to motivate and inspire students of varying abilities.

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
