IT Teacher - Wellingborough

We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable IT Teacher to join a dynamic secondary school in Wellingborough. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students and develop their understanding of information technology, digital literacy, and computing skills.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons that equip students with the knowledge and practical skills needed to succeed in an increasingly digital world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality IT and Computing lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5.

  • Foster students' interest in technology, digital innovation, and problem-solving.

  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school policies.

  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of students of varying abilities.

  • Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.

  • Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives.

  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement, and attendance.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Experience teaching IT, Computing, or Computer Science within a secondary school setting.

  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for technology and education.

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

  • The ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities.

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
