Are you a caring and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Tradewind Recruitment is seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to work across a variety of welcoming primary, secondary and specialist schools in the Towcester area.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll play a vital role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential. Working closely with teachers and SENCOs, you'll provide tailored support to students with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs, learning disabilities and complex needs.

Every day is different, offering the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with students while supporting both their academic progress and personal development.

Your Responsibilities

• Support pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
• Assist in delivering engaging, differentiated learning activities.
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
• Implement strategies outlined in EHCPs and individual support plans.
• Support students with communication, emotional regulation and social development.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and other professionals.
• Create a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
• Promote safeguarding and the wellbeing of all pupils.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
• Has experience supporting children or young people with SEN, either in schools or similar settings.
• Is patient, compassionate and resilient.
• Can build positive relationships with students, staff and families.
• Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Is adaptable and confident working across different school environments.
• Has a genuine passion for helping every child succeed.
