Working Hours: Monday, Wednesday & Thursday 9:00am - 12:00pm | Tuesday 9:00am - 1:00pm | Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm
Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)

We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Brackley from September 2026 on a permanent, part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school.

Role Overview:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils both in and out of the classroom. You will help create an engaging learning environment, provide targeted support to individuals and small groups, and encourage children to develop both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons

  • Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning and build confidence

  • Assist with the preparation of classroom resources and learning activities

  • Encourage positive behaviour and help create a safe, supportive classroom environment

  • Support pupils with varying learning needs, adapting your approach where required

  • Help monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff

  • Supervise children during classroom activities and other parts of the school day as required

  • Foster positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

  • Promote the school's values and contribute to the wider life of the school

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with children in a primary school, nursery, childcare, or similar setting is desirable but not essential

  • A patient, caring, and enthusiastic approach

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

  • A positive attitude and willingness to support pupils of all abilities

  • Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities within education (training can be provided)

  • A genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential
