We are working with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Long Buckby that is looking to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join its team from September 2026. The school is hoping to appoint a permanent member of staff, although long-term and fixed-term opportunities will also be considered for the right candidate.

The Role
As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with teachers to provide high-quality support both inside and outside the classroom. You'll help pupils build confidence, develop key skills, and enjoy a positive learning experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting teachers in delivering engaging lessons across the primary curriculum
Working with pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small intervention groups
Providing additional support for children with SEND and additional learning needs
Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting an inclusive classroom environment
Supporting literacy, numeracy, and phonics activities
Helping to prepare classroom resources and learning activities
Promoting pupils' confidence, independence, and emotional wellbeing
We're Looking For Someone Who:
Is enthusiastic about working with primary-aged children
Has a patient, caring, and positive approach
Communicates effectively with pupils, staff, and parents
Works well as part of a collaborative school team
Is reliable, adaptable, and committed to supporting children's development
Has previous experience working with children in schools, nurseries, childcare, coaching, youth work, or similar environments (preferred but not essential)
