Cover Supervisor - Wellingborough

Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking a confident and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming secondary school in the Wellingborough area. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced teaching assistants, or individuals looking to gain valuable classroom experience within education.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the regular class teacher, ensuring students remain engaged, on task, and working in a positive learning environment.

The Role:

  • Supervising classes across a range of subjects using work set by teaching staff.

  • Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a productive learning environment.

  • Supporting students with their learning and encouraging engagement.

  • Reporting on student progress, behaviour, and lesson outcomes.

  • Following school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times.

  • Building positive relationships with students and staff.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working with young people, ideally within an educational setting.

  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.

  • Confidence leading groups of students.

  • The ability to adapt quickly and work across different subject areas.

  • A professional, organised, and proactive approach.

  • A passion for education and supporting student success.
