Learning Support Assistant - Wellingborough

Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for a caring and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming school in the Wellingborough area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and helping them to achieve their full potential in education.

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide tailored assistance to students who require additional support with their learning, ensuring they can access the curriculum and thrive within the classroom environment.

The Role:

  • Providing classroom support to students across a range of subjects.

  • Working with pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.

  • Supporting students with additional learning needs, including SEND.

  • Encouraging student engagement, confidence and independence.

  • Assisting teachers with classroom preparation and learning activities.

  • Promoting a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

  • Supporting students both academically and socially throughout the school day.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working with children or young people in an educational, care or support setting.

  • A patient, positive and proactive attitude.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.

  • A genuine passion for supporting young people to succeed.

  • A willingness to learn and develop new skills.
