Are you a dedicated Maths Teacher looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real impact? Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a number of established Alternative Provision schools across Northamptonshire and the surrounding areas, offering exciting long-term opportunities for passionate educators.
Our partner schools support secondary-aged students who thrive in smaller, more nurturing learning environments. Many pupils have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism (ASC), ADHD, anxiety, trauma, or other additional needs that require a personalised approach to education. With small class sizes and excellent support from teaching assistants and pastoral teams, you'll have the opportunity to build positive relationships and help students reach their full potential.
As a Maths Teacher, you will deliver engaging and accessible lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, helping students develop confidence in numeracy while adapting your teaching to meet individual learning needs. You will play a key role in supporting both academic progress and personal development, creating an environment where every student feels valued and encouraged to succeed.
The Role:
- Deliver engaging Maths lessons to secondary-aged students.
- Differentiate learning to meet a wide range of abilities and additional needs.
- Build positive relationships that promote engagement and confidence.
- Support students in developing key mathematical skills for further education, employment and everyday life.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs and pastoral staff to achieve the best outcomes for pupils.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Maths at secondary level.
- Previous experience working within Alternative Provision, SEN, SEMH or behaviour settings is desirable, although not essential.
- Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills.
- A patient, resilient and flexible approach with a passion for inclusive education.
