Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a number of supportive and inclusive secondary schools across Northampton who are looking to appoint dedicated PE Teachers from September 2026. These full-time opportunities offer flexibility, with both permanent and long-term positions available depending on your experience, preferences, and career goals.

The Role:

  • Teach Physical Education across Key Stages 3 and 4, with KS5 opportunities available in some settings

  • Deliver engaging, inclusive, and challenging lessons across a range of sports and physical activities

  • Encourage students to develop teamwork, leadership skills, resilience, and confidence

  • Support pupils of all abilities to participate and achieve their personal best

  • Contribute to extra-curricular clubs, school teams, fixtures, and sporting events

  • Promote healthy lifestyles and support wider school wellbeing initiatives

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop the PE curriculum and enrichment opportunities

About You:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

  • A specialist qualification or strong subject knowledge in Physical Education

  • A confident and enthusiastic teacher who can inspire students both in the classroom and on the sports field

  • Experience delivering a range of sporting activities and adapting lessons for different abilities

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

  • A positive, proactive, and collaborative approach to teaching

  • Passionate about supporting students' physical, social, and personal development

  • Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply and will receive full support through induction and mentoring
