About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in Hounslow. The position is full-time, working 5 days per week, with an ASAP start for the right candidate.
The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to support students both academically and pastorally. You will provide one-to-one and small-group support, help students remain engaged with their learning and contribute to creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
This role would suit someone who is passionate about education, patient, approachable and confident working with secondary-aged students.

Based in Hounslow, you will become an important member of the school's support team, working alongside teachers and other staff to ensure students receive the assistance they need.
Key Duties
Support students with their learning on a one-to-one and small-group basis.
Work closely with classroom teachers to support lesson delivery.
Assist students in accessing the curriculum and completing classwork.
Provide additional support to students who require extra guidance.
Encourage positive behaviour and promote student engagement.
Help students develop confidence, independence and organisational skills.
Support students with their social and emotional development where required.
Adapt activities and resources to meet individual student needs.
Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
Assist with classroom preparation and organisation.
Build positive and professional relationships with students and staff.
Follow school policies and procedures, including safeguarding requirements.

Requirements
Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
Experience within a school or education setting is advantageous.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A patient, caring and encouraging approach.
Ability to build positive relationships with students.
Good organisational and classroom management skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A genuine interest in supporting students' education and development.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
