Are you an experienced Science Technician looking for your next opportunity, or a graduate with a strong science background looking to build a career within education?

We're looking for a reliable, organised and enthusiastic Science Technician to join a fantastic secondary school in Hillingdon on a long-term, part-time basis, with the opportunity to become permanent with the school following a successful introduction and placement.

This is a Monday to Friday, 9:30am-2:30pm position, offering excellent consistency and the opportunity to become a valued member of the school's science department.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Preparing equipment, materials and practical resources for science lessons
  • Setting up and clearing away practical experiments
  • Supporting teachers during practical lessons where required
  • Maintaining and organising laboratory equipment and resources
  • Ensuring laboratories and preparation areas are clean, safe and well organised
  • Monitoring and maintaining stock levels of equipment and consumables
  • Following appropriate health and safety procedures
  • Supporting the wider science department with day-to-day requirements

  • Confident working with scientific equipment and practical resources
  • Detail-oriented with excellent time-management skills
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Able to follow health and safety procedures carefully
  • Passionate about science and supporting young people's education
  • Available to work Monday-Friday, 9:30am-2:30pm

Previous experience as a Science Technician is desirable, but candidates with a strong science background and relevant practical experience are encouraged to apply.
