We're looking for passionate Food Technicians to work across a range of Secondary schools in Lincolnshire on a daily supply and long-term basis.

The role is particularly well suited to people with a background in Food Technology, Catering, Hospitality, Food Preparation, Nutrition or other food-related industries. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced food professionals looking to use their practical skills in an educational setting.

As a Food Technician on supply, you will;

• Supporting teaching staff with the preparation and delivery of practical Food Technology lessons
• Preparing ingredients, equipment and resources for practical lessons
• Ensuring food technology classrooms, kitchens and practical areas are clean, safe and well organised
• Supporting students with the safe and appropriate use of kitchen equipment and utensils
• Assisting with practical demonstrations and food preparation activities across KS3 and KS4
• Ensuring appropriate food hygiene, health and safety procedures are followed at all times
• Supporting teachers and students with practical cooking and food preparation activities
• Managing and maintaining stock levels of ingredients, equipment and resources
• Checking and storing food supplies appropriately, including monitoring use-by dates
• Cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment and practical work areas
• Reporting any equipment, maintenance, food hygiene or health and safety concerns to the appropriate member of staff

To join us and be successful as a Food Technician, you will need to:

• Have relevant practical experience within Food Technology, Catering, Hospitality, Food Preparation or a related industry
• Have a good understanding of food hygiene and health and safety procedures
• Be confident using a range of kitchen equipment and utensils
• Have good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) - or willing to obtain one
• Professional reference checks
• CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
• Legal right to work in the UK
