Teaching Assistant - KS2 | BL1 Bolton
Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the BL1 area of Bolton. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic education professional who enjoys supporting children to achieve their potential.
The school is looking for someone who can work confidently alongside the class teacher, providing targeted support to pupils across the classroom and helping create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
The role will involve:
- Supporting pupils across Key Stage 2 with their learning
- Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce key concepts
- Supporting literacy and numeracy activities
- Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and positive learning habits
- Assisting the class teacher with classroom organisation and activities
- Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
- Providing additional support to pupils who may require extra guidance
- Following school safeguarding and behaviour policies
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a relevant Teaching Assistant, Education, Childcare or similar qualification OR
- Have at least 6 months' experience working with children in the UK, either professionally or voluntarily
- Be confident communicating with children and staff
- Have a patient, caring and proactive approach
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare
- Be available for a full-time school-based role
