KS1 Teaching Assistant | BL3, Bolton
Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and nurturing Teaching Assistant to join a friendly primary school in the BL3 area of Bolton.
The successful candidate will support children in Key Stage 1, working alongside the class teacher to create an engaging and positive learning environment. This role would suit someone who enjoys helping younger children develop their confidence, communication and early academic skills.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting pupils across Key Stage 1
- Working with individuals and small groups
- Supporting phonics, reading, writing and mathematics
- Helping children develop independence
- Supporting classroom activities and learning through play
- Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
- Providing additional support to pupils who need it
- Helping prepare classroom resources
- Working closely with the class teacher
- Maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment
We're looking for someone who:
- Has a relevant Teaching Assistant, Education, Childcare or similar qualification OR
- Has at least 6 months' experience working with children in the UK, professionally or voluntarily
- Is enthusiastic about working with primary-aged children
- Is patient, caring and approachable
- Can build positive relationships with pupils
- Has strong communication skills
- Understands the importance of safeguarding
