SEND Teaching Assistant | BL7, Bolton
Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for a caring and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join an inclusive primary school in the BL7 area of Bolton.
The school is looking for someone who can provide high-quality classroom and SEND support, helping pupils access learning and develop their confidence, independence and social skills.
The role will include:
- Supporting pupils across the primary age range
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support
- Helping children access classroom learning
- Supporting pupils with additional needs
- Encouraging communication and social development
- Reinforcing positive behaviour
- Supporting literacy and numeracy activities
- Working closely with the class teacher and SEN team
- Helping pupils develop independence
- Contributing to a safe and inclusive learning environment
The successful candidate will:
- Have a relevant Teaching Assistant, SEN, Education, Childcare or similar qualification OR
- Have at least 6 months' experience working with children in the UK, either professionally or voluntarily
- Be patient, caring and adaptable
- Have a genuine passion for supporting children
- Be confident working with pupils with additional needs
- Have strong communication skills
- Understand safeguarding and professional boundaries
- Be reliable and committed to supporting pupil progress
