You will be joining a supportive and collaborative staff team, working alongside experienced teachers and the school's dedicated SEND team.
About the Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide targeted support to students with a range of special educational needs and additional learning requirements.
Working closely with classroom teachers and the SEND team, you will help students access the curriculum and participate fully in school life.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support for students with SEND.
- Support students to access lessons and overcome barriers to learning.
- Help students develop confidence, independence and social skills.
- Work alongside teachers to reinforce and support learning.
- Promote positive behaviour and classroom engagement.
- Build supportive and professional relationships with students.
- Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with colleagues.
- Contribute to a calm, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Relevant experience supporting children or young people with SEND is desirable. Experience within a secondary school setting may be beneficial but is not essential.
