Tradewind Recruitment are looking for a passionate and engaging English Teacher to join a secondary school in the Milton Keynes area.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an English Teacher who enjoys inspiring young people and helping students develop confidence across English Language and Literature.

We would love to hear from both experienced teachers and ECTs who are looking for their next opportunity within a supportive secondary school.

The Role

As an English Teacher, you will:

• Teach engaging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

• Deliver both English Language and English Literature

• Support students in developing their reading, writing, analysis and communication skills

• Plan and prepare lessons that cater for a range of abilities

• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback

• Support students with GCSE preparation

• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement

• Create an inclusive and positive classroom environment

• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the English department

• Encourage students to develop confidence, creativity and independent thinking

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

• Holds QTS, QTLS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

• Has strong knowledge of English Language and Literature

• Is confident teaching secondary-aged students

• Can engage and motivate students of different abilities

• Has strong classroom and behaviour management skills

• Is enthusiastic, reliable and adaptable

• Is committed to helping students achieve their potential

• Can build positive relationships with students and colleagues
