EYFS Teaching Assistant - Nottinghamshire
January 2027 Start | Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities
Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting EYFS Teaching Assistants across Nottinghamshire for a number of opportunities starting from January 2027.
We work with primary schools across the county and are looking for enthusiastic Teaching Assistants who enjoy supporting children in Nursery and Reception and helping them build confidence during the early stages of their education.
The role may include:
Supporting children across the EYFS curriculum
Setting up engaging learning and play activities
Supporting communication, language and early development
Helping children develop confidence and independence
Providing 1:1 and small-group support
Supporting early phonics, reading and number work
Supporting children with additional needs where required
Working closely with the class teacher and wider EYFS team
Maintaining a safe, positive and engaging learning environment
Requirements:
Previous experience working with children within an EYFS or primary school setting
A relevant Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification is desirable
A good understanding of the EYFS framework
A patient, caring and enthusiastic approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
Right to work in the UK
Rates of pay will depend on relevant qualifications, previous EYFS experience and the responsibilities of the individual role.
