Are you a qualified teacher looking for a flexible and rewarding role outside of the traditional classroom? Tradewind Recruitment is seeking passionate Tutors to support young people across Salford who are unable to access mainstream education due to SEND, SEMH needs, school absence, medical needs, or looked-after status.

The Role

As a Tutor, you will work with students on an individual basis, helping them build confidence, overcome barriers to learning, and achieve academic progress.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering engaging 1:1 tuition sessions in Maths and English up to GCSE level
  • Supporting pupils with a range of SEND and additional needs
  • Planning personalised lessons tailored to each student's ability and learning style
  • Teaching in a variety of settings, including pupils' homes, schools, libraries, or community venues
  • Providing regular feedback on progress to families, schools, local authorities, and other professionals
  • Building positive relationships that encourage engagement and re-engagement with education

The Ideal Candidate

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • QTS, QTLS, PGCE, or an equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience supporting students with SEND, SEMH, or additional learning needs
  • Strong knowledge of Maths and English
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • A patient, adaptable, and nurturing approach
  • A genuine passion for helping young people achieve their potential
