The Opportunity

We are looking for committed Teaching Assistants to join secondary school settings across South Bristol on a full-time basis from January.

You will work alongside teaching staff to support pupils with their learning, engagement and development. The role may involve providing additional assistance to individuals, working with small groups and helping pupils access the wider curriculum.

We're particularly interested in candidates who are patient, adaptable and confident building positive relationships with young people.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide classroom support across a range of secondary subjects

  • Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning

  • Support pupils who may require additional educational assistance

  • Help teachers maintain a positive and productive classroom environment

  • Encourage pupil engagement, confidence and independence

  • Support positive behaviour and classroom expectations

  • Adapt your approach to meet individual learning needs
