Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Corby.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher who is committed to inspiring young people, delivering engaging English lessons and helping pupils develop their confidence and ability in reading, writing and communication.

We are looking for someone who can create a positive and inclusive learning environment, build strong relationships with pupils and bring English to life through creative and engaging teaching.

The Role

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.

• Teach a range of English topics, including literature, language, reading and creative writing.

• Prepare high-quality lessons that meet the needs and abilities of pupils.

• Monitor, assess and provide constructive feedback on pupil progress.

• Encourage a positive attitude towards English and develop pupils' confidence and communication skills.

• Establish clear classroom expectations and maintain a positive learning environment.

• Differentiate lessons to support pupils of varying abilities and learning needs.

• Work collaboratively with the English department and wider teaching team.

• Contribute to the wider school community and support pupils' academic development.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

• Has experience teaching English at secondary school level.

• Confident delivering lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.

• Has strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for English.

• Able to plan, prepare and deliver engaging and well-structured lessons.

• Confident managing classroom behaviour and maintaining high expectations.

• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Is reliable, adaptable and committed to achieving positive outcomes for pupils.
