Inclusion Mentor - Northampton
Full-Time | Long-Term and Permanent| Start Date: September 2025

Are you passionate about helping young people feel heard, valued, and supported in school? Could you make a real impact on students who face social, emotional, or behavioural challenges?

We're partnering with forward-thinking secondary schools in Northampton that are looking for Inclusion Mentors to join their teams from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with students who need extra support, helping them to feel more confident, settled, and ready to learn.

Your Role Will Include:

  • Supporting students who may struggle with behaviour, mental health, or attendance

  • Delivering targeted interventions and mentoring sessions on a 1:1 basis or in small groups

  • Encouraging positive choices and helping students develop social and emotional skills

  • Supporting reintegration into lessons and routines after periods of absence or exclusion

  • Contributing to support plans and progress tracking alongside pastoral and SEN staff

  • Acting as a trusted adult and positive role model, creating a safe space for students

  • Liaising with families, school staff, and external professionals to ensure joined-up support

We're Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has previous experience working with young people, ideally in a school, youth work, or mentoring capacity

  • Remains calm under pressure and is able to de-escalate challenging situations

  • Has a caring, understanding, and solution-focused mindset

  • Can build strong, respectful relationships with students who may have complex needs

  • Is reliable, proactive, and committed to inclusion and equality for all students

  • (Desirable) Has training or background in areas like behaviour support, safeguarding, or mental health
