Job Description

The Role:

As an SEN Cover Supervisor, you will:

  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons across various subjects in the absence of the classroom teacher

  • Support students with a range of SEN needs, including autism, ADHD, and SEMH

  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's policy

  • Work closely with SENCOs, teaching assistants, and pastoral staff to ensure students receive tailored support

  • Build positive relationships with students and help maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment


Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience working in a school or SEN setting (preferred but not essential)

  • Confident managing behaviour and leading a classroom

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Calm, empathetic, and resilient in challenging situations

  • A genuine passion for working with young people

  • A good standard of literacy and numeracy

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
