Location: Tower Hamlets, East London

Contract: Full-time, Fixed Term (January 2026 - December 2026)

Salary: Up to Upper Pay Scale (UPS)

Start Date: January 2026

SANZA Teaching Agency is working in partnership with a thriving three-form entry primary school in Tower Hamlets to recruit an experienced and dedicated Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator (SENDCO) for a fixed-term contract.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly inclusive school community where every child is valued and supported to reach their full potential. You will be working closely with the Deputy Headteacher, who leads on Inclusion, in a collaborative and supportive environment.

The Role

The successful SENDCO will:

Lead on annual reviews and EHCP applications, ensuring statutory compliance and high-quality support for pupils.

Oversee and evaluate intervention programmes to promote progress and wellbeing.

Work in partnership with class teachers, support staff, and external agencies to deliver effective provision.

Monitor outcomes for children with additional needs and contribute to strategic planning for inclusion.

About You

To be considered, you will have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and the National Award for SEN Coordination (or significant relevant experience).

Proven experience as a SENDCO or in a similar leadership capacity.

Strong knowledge of SEND processes, including EHCPs and statutory reviews.

Excellent organisational and communication skills with a commitment to inclusive education.
