SEN Teaching Assistant - Kettering

Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support a range of specialist and mainstream schools in Kettering. We are looking for individuals who have experience-either personal or professional-supporting children, young people, or adults with complex autism, communication challenges, sensory processing differences, and physical disabilities.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to build a career in Special Educational Needs but may not yet have school-based experience. If you have supported a family member, volunteered, worked in care, or have experience in a health or community setting, we want to hear from you. Your lived experience is valuable, and full training will be provided.

Role Responsibilities:

• Supporting students with complex autism in structured, nurturing learning environments

• Implementing sensory regulation strategies and assisting with communication

• Providing mobility, physical, or personal care support where needed

• Helping students develop confidence, independence, and daily living skills

• Contributing to a calm, safe, and positive classroom atmosphere

• Working closely with teachers, therapists, and pastoral staff

• A willingness to learn and adapt to different students' needs
