About the Role
You will be responsible for delivering engaging and well-structured lessons in English across Key Stages 3 and 4. The ideal candidate will be able to create a positive learning environment, raise attainment, and support pupils of all abilities to reach their potential.
Key Responsibilities
Teach English Language and Literature to students aged 11-16.
Plan and deliver lessons that engage, challenge, and support students.
Track progress, provide feedback, and implement effective intervention where needed.
Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives.
Maintain high behaviour and learning expectations.
Build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents.
Ensure safeguarding procedures are consistently upheld.
About You
Strong subject knowledge in English.
Ability to inspire, motivate, and support students.
Confident classroom management skills.
A reflective and collaborative teaching approach.
A passion for literature, writing, and the wider subject.
QTS is preferred, but experienced unqualified teachers may be considered depending on school requirements.
