Tradewind Recruitment is looking for reliable, confident, and flexible Casual Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in the Corby area. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with young people, have strong classroom presence, and are looking for adaptable, part-time or on-call opportunities. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is highly desirable due to the nature of the work.

About the Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring that students remain on task with work that has been set. You will manage behaviour, provide clear instructions, and maintain a positive learning environment. This role does not require planning or marking and is ideal for those considering a future career in teaching or education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons to classes across a range of subjects

  • Manage classroom behaviour and uphold school policies

  • Support students with their learning and keep them engaged

  • Ensure a safe, calm, and productive learning atmosphere

  • Be adaptable to different school settings and year groups

About You

We are looking for individuals who:

  • Have previous experience working with young people (educational or non-educational settings)

  • Are confident, proactive, and able to manage a classroom

  • Are reliable, punctual, and flexible with availability

  • Hold a full UK driving licence and have their own vehicle (highly desirable)

  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills

A degree or relevant qualification is advantageous but not essential.
