Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with a successful secondary school in South Liverpool to recruit an experienced Product Design and Resistant Materials Teacher for an exciting teaching opportunity.

This role is ideal for a confident and skilled practitioner with a strong background in delivering Product Design and Resistant Materials across KS3 and KS4, with the ability to inspire pupils through practical, well-structured lessons in a workshop environment. The school is well resourced, values high-quality teaching, and has a supportive senior leadership team that prioritises both staff development and student outcomes.

The successful candidate will be an experienced teacher with proven classroom management skills and a secure understanding of health and safety within a design and technology setting. You will be expected to plan and deliver engaging lessons, assess student progress effectively, and contribute positively to the wider department. Experience preparing students for GCSE outcomes is essential.

This position would suit a teacher who is adaptable, organised, and passionate about developing creativity, problem-solving, and practical skills in young people. The school is keen to appoint someone who can hit the ground running and confidently manage a busy timetable from January 2026.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Proven experience teaching Product Design and Resistant Materials in a secondary setting

  • Strong behaviour management and workshop safety knowledge

  • Availability for a long-term or permanent opportunity
