Are you a Psychology graduate looking to build hands-on experience in a specialist SEN school? This is a fantastic full-time opportunity for someone passionate about mental health, behaviour, and child development who wants to make a real difference from day one.

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a welcoming SEN school in Runcorn that supports pupils with a range of additional needs including ASD, SEMH, ADHD, and associated learning difficulties. The school is seeking a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team from January on a full-time basis.

The role will involve:

  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis

  • Assisting students with emotional regulation, behaviour support, and engagement in learning

  • Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams

  • Implementing behaviour strategies and support plans

  • Helping pupils develop confidence, communication, and independence

This role is ideal for:

  • Psychology graduates or related degrees (Psychology, Criminology, Sociology, Youth Studies)

  • Graduates considering careers in educational psychology, clinical psychology, CAMHS, or teaching

  • Candidates with experience or interest in SEN, mental health, or behaviour support

  • Calm, resilient, and empathetic individuals who enjoy working with young people
