Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant or someone passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs on a 1:1 basis? Tradewind Recruitment is working closely with a welcoming primary and secondary school in Sefton looking to appoint a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant.

This role involves providing tailored, consistent support to a pupil with additional needs, helping them access learning, manage emotions, and feel confident within the school environment.

The role will involve:

  • Providing 1:1 support for a pupil with SEN (ASD, SEMH, ADHD, or related needs)

  • Supporting learning, engagement, and emotional regulation throughout the school day

  • Implementing behaviour and support strategies set by the SENCO and class teacher

  • Building a positive, trusting relationship with the pupil

  • Supporting inclusion within the classroom and wider school setting

This role is ideal for:

  • Experienced SEN Teaching Assistants or Learning Support Assistants

  • Psychology, education, or childcare graduates

  • Candidates with experience supporting SEN on a 1:1 basis

  • Patient, resilient, and nurturing individuals who enjoy making a real impact
