Job Description

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a welcoming primary and secondary school in Knowsley to recruit a dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant. This is a full-time role supporting a pupil with additional needs, providing consistent, tailored support throughout the school day.

This position is ideal for someone who is patient, reliable, and passionate about helping children feel supported, confident, and included in school life.

The role will involve:

  • Providing 1:1 support for a pupil with additional learning or behavioural needs

  • Supporting access to learning within the classroom and small-group settings

  • Assisting with emotional regulation, focus, and engagement

  • Implementing strategies set by the class teacher and SENCO

  • Building a positive, trusting relationship with the pupil

This role is ideal for:

  • Learning Support Assistants or Teaching Assistants

  • Candidates with experience supporting SEN on a 1:1 basis

  • Psychology, education, or childcare graduates

  • Calm, resilient, and nurturing individuals
