Engineering Teacher - January Start
Location: Northampton
Start Date: January 2026
Contract Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Salary: £36,000 - £42,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications)

We are working in partnership with a leading Further Education college in Northampton to recruit a dedicated Engineering Teacher for a January start. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity within a well-established and forward-thinking engineering department that places strong emphasis on practical skills, innovation, and learner progression.

The Role:

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality teaching across vocational Engineering programmes (BTEC, T Level, or equivalent)

  • Teach a range of units within mechanical, electrical, or general engineering, depending on your specialism

  • Plan, assess, and provide effective feedback to support learner achievement

  • Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Prepare students for progression into apprenticeships, higher education, or employment

What We're Looking For:

  • A recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)

  • A relevant Engineering qualification at Level 4 or above

  • Recent industry experience or prior teaching experience within the FE sector

  • A learner-focused, inclusive approach to teaching

  • Strong communication, organisation, and teamwork skills
