SEN Teaching Assistant

The Role
In this role, you will provide vital support to pupils with a range of needs, including Autism (ASD), ADHD, SEMH, and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD). Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering tailored 1:1 interventions and small group support.
- Adapting learning materials to ensure the curriculum is accessible for all pupils.
- Using specialized communication tools such as Makaton or PECS where required.
- Supporting pupils with sensory processing needs and managing challenging behaviour with a calm, patient approach.
What We're Looking For
- Experience: Proven experience supporting children with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities).
- Compliance: An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
- Skills: Strong emotional intelligence, resilience, and the ability to build rapport quickly with vulnerable learners.
