Location: Blackpool Academy
Contract: Temporary (ASAP - April 2026)

Are you a passionate, high-energy practitioner who loves to inspire young minds? Our Blackpool Academy is seeking an experienced EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our nursery setting immediately. We are looking for a "ready-to-go" professional who can dive straight into our busy, imaginative world. To be successful you will need to hold a EYFS qualification (L2/3 Cache or NVQ).
The Role: Inspiring Our 3 & 4-Year-Olds
We need a dedicated individual to work specifically with our children aged 3-4. You will be responsible for leading small group activities and ensuring we maintain high-quality care and education while supporting our staff-to-child ratios.
We are looking for a character who is:
- Enthusiastic & Energetic: Someone who brings life to every story and game.
- Encouraging: A champion for every child's small wins.
- Imaginative: Someone who can turn a cardboard box into a rocket ship and pursue a child's creative lead.
- Experienced: You must be able to "hit the ground running" and understand the flow of a busy EYFS day from day one.
Our Curriculum & Setting
At Blackpool Academy, we provide a rich, structured environment where play meets purposeful learning:
- Talk for Writing: We use imitation and story mapping to help children "learn" stories before they write them.
- Little Wandle Phonics: You will support daily systematic phonics and "keep up" sessions to ensure no child is left behind.
- Maths Mastery: We focus on deep understanding of numbers 0-10 using concrete resources and real-life play.
- Continuous Provision: Our setting is packed with high-quality texts and "exciting hooks" to engage children in their learning themes.
