Graduate Support Assistant - Teacher Training Pathway
Location: Corby
Start Date: January 2026
Contract: Full-Time | Term-Time Only | School-Based Contract
Pay Rate: £90-£105 per day (dependent on experience)

We're working in partnership with secondary schools across Corby who are offering an exciting opportunity for graduates to join them as Graduate Support Assistants from January 2026, with the intention of progressing onto a school-based teacher training programme.

This role is ideal for graduates who are committed to pursuing a career in teaching and want to gain paid, hands-on classroom experience before and during their teacher training journey.

About the Role:
As a Graduate Support Assistant, you'll be employed on a school-based contract, working closely with teaching staff to support students and develop the core skills needed for teacher training. You'll gain invaluable classroom exposure while being mentored and prepared for progression onto a formal teacher training route.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils on a one-to-one and small group basis

  • Assisting in lessons across a range of subjects

  • Helping to promote positive behaviour and engagement

  • Supporting students with additional or pastoral needs where required

  • Working alongside experienced teachers to develop classroom practice

  • Building experience aligned to future teacher training expectations

  • Individuals with experience working with young people (tutoring, mentoring, coaching, youth work, etc.)
