Maths Instructor - Northampton
Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire
Start Date: January 2026
Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term (with potential to become permanent)
Daily Rate: £120-£180, depending on experience

Tradewind Recruitment is proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming secondary school in Northampton that is seeking a motivated Maths Instructor to join their team from January 2026. This long-term opportunity is ideal for graduates, tutors, or experienced cover supervisors who want consistent classroom experience and the chance to progress within education.

About the Role:

  • Deliver Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 using provided resources

  • Support students of mixed abilities and encourage positive learning behaviours

  • Maintain a structured, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment

  • Work closely with the Maths department to support learning and track progress

  • Take part in interventions, enrichment activities, or additional learning support

About You:

  • Strong Maths subject knowledge (degree-level or equivalent preferred)

  • Experience working with secondary-aged students in an educational setting

  • Confident, professional, and approachable classroom presence

  • Organised, proactive, and committed to high standards

  • Passionate about helping young people succeed

An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is required (or willingness to apply).
