Behaviour Mentor
Location: Merton, South West London

We are seeking a calm, resilient, and committed Behaviour Mentor to join our supportive secondary school in the London Borough of Merton.
This is a rewarding role for someone passionate about helping young people overcome behavioural, emotional, and social barriers to learning.
Key Responsibilities
Provide targeted one-to-one and small group behaviour support to students
Support students with SEMH needs and those at risk of disengagement
Work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and senior leaders to promote positive behaviour strategies
Support students in lessons, inclusion units, and during unstructured times
Act as a positive role model, building strong and trusting relationships
Help students develop self-regulation, resilience, and social skills
The Ideal Candidate Will
Have experience working with children or young people with behavioural or SEMH needs (desirable but not essential)
Be calm under pressure, patient, and consistent
Have strong communication and behaviour management skills
Be committed to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
Be confident supporting students both in and out of the classroom
