History Teacher

Location: Wellingborough, Northamptonshire
Contract: Full-time (part-time considered)
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
Start Date: ASAP / September

Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with a secondary school in the Wellingborough area to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic History Teacher to join a successful humanities department.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate History specialist to deliver engaging and high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. The ability to teach History at Key Stage 5 would be advantageous but is not essential. Applications are welcome from ECTs and experienced teachers.

The role will involve:

  • Planning and delivering engaging History lessons that inspire students

  • Teaching History across KS3 and KS4

  • Assessing, tracking, and supporting student progress

  • Contributing to a collaborative and supportive humanities team

  • Upholding high standards of behaviour, achievement, and classroom practice

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold QTS (or be working towards it)

  • Have strong subject knowledge and a passion for History

  • Be able to motivate and challenge students of all abilities

  • Have a commitment to inclusive practice and high expectations

  • Be keen to engage in professional development
