Design & Technology Teacher
Location: Wellingborough, Northamptonshire
Contract: Full-time (part-time considered)
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
Start Date: ASAP / September
Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with a secondary school in the Wellingborough area to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Design & Technology Teacher to join a supportive and well-resourced department.
This is an exciting opportunity to teach DT across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach KS5 for suitably experienced candidates. Applications are welcome from ECTs and experienced teachers.
The role will involve:
Planning and delivering high-quality, engaging DT lessons
Teaching across a range of DT subjects, including resistant materials, textiles, and systems & control where applicable
Monitoring and assessing student progress and providing feedback
Contributing to curriculum development within the department
Maintaining high standards of behaviour, achievement, and classroom practice
The ideal candidate will:
Hold QTS (or be working towards it)
Have strong subject knowledge and a passion for Design & Technology
Be able to motivate and inspire students of all abilities
Have high expectations for student progress and achievement
Be committed to inclusive practice and professional development
