Location: Wellingborough, Northamptonshire

Tradewind Recruitment is working closely with a well-regarded secondary school in Wellingborough, who are seeking a committed Science Instructor to join their team from February 2026. The role is offered on a February to July basis, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

This position is ideal for someone confident in delivering Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, who is eager to develop classroom experience while making a positive impact on student engagement and achievement.

The Role:

  • Deliver structured and engaging Science lessons using existing schemes of work

  • Teach across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, adapting content where needed

  • Support students in developing scientific understanding, enquiry skills, and confidence

  • Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of mixed-ability learners, including SEND

  • Work collaboratively with the Science department and pastoral teams

  • Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment, providing clear feedback

About You:

  • Strong subject knowledge in Science or a related discipline

  • Experience working with secondary-aged students (teaching, tutoring, or classroom support)

  • Confident, professional classroom presence

  • Patient, adaptable, and committed to supporting all learners

  • A degree in a Science-related subject is desirable, but not essential
