We are working closely with well-regarded further education colleges and sixth form providers in Wellingborough who are looking to appoint dedicated and motivated Science Lecturers from February 2026. These full-time opportunities are available on a long-term or permanent basis, within supportive and progressive learning environments.

The Role

As a Science Lecturer, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons to post-16 learners, including Level 2 and Level 3 courses (A Level, BTEC, or equivalent)

  • Teach your specialist subject (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics), ensuring lessons are aligned with awarding body specifications

  • Foster curiosity, critical thinking, and independent learning through a mix of practical and theory-based approaches

  • Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of learners with a range of abilities and aspirations

  • Monitor learner progress and provide timely, constructive feedback to support achievement

  • Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement within the Science department

  • Support enrichment activities such as STEM projects, trips, workshops, or cross-department initiatives

The Ideal Candidate

You will have:

  • A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or willingness to work towards one)

  • A degree or strong subject background in a Science-related discipline

  • Confidence teaching Science to post-16 learners

  • An engaging, adaptable, and learner-focused teaching style

  • Strong communication and classroom management skills

  • A genuine enthusiasm for STEM education and learner progression

  • A collaborative approach and commitment to departmental development

  • An open mindset, whether you are an experienced lecturer or transitioning from schools or industry
