Biology Teacher - Wellingborough
Location: Wellingborough, Northamptonshire
Start Date: February 2026
Contract: Full-Time | Permanent or Long-Term

We are working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in Wellingborough that is seeking to appoint a dedicated Biology Teacher from February 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative Science department within a school that places strong emphasis on student achievement and staff wellbeing.
The Role:
Teach Biology across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach A-Level Biology if desired
Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that bring biological concepts to life
Use practical work and real-world applications to inspire student interest and understanding
Differentiate effectively to support learners of all abilities and backgrounds
Work closely with colleagues on curriculum planning, assessment, and enrichment activities
The Ideal Candidate:
Holds QTS, QTLS, or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Strong subject knowledge in Biology, with confidence teaching some general Science at lower Key Stages
A reflective and resilient practitioner with effective classroom management skills
Committed to ongoing professional development and evidence-informed practice
Willing to contribute positively to the wider school community
